Patient has had large amount of tooth structures fractured and chipped off on the two central incisors over the years. She is very conscious of this and has been afraid to smile and show her teeth in front of people. Two ceramic crowns were placed on these two teeth and color was matched to her natural teeth. The patient is very happy with her new smile.
This patient had traditional braces to straighten his teeth year ago. Unfortunately, he did not wear retainers and teeth started to shift slowly. The patient received Invisalign treatment for 4 months, wearing clear aligners. During this time, people could not tell he was going through orthodontic treatment. Following the Invisalign treatment, he was thrilled with his new smile.
This patient chipped her upper front teeth and became very conscious of her smile. We repaired her chipped teeth using tooth-colored composite resin bonding material to match her natural tooth color. The patient is very satisfied with the result and is now confident to show her smile again!
This gentleman fell and fractured both front teeth. The front tooth on the left was fractured all the way down to the root surface, making the tooth unsaveable. It was subsequently extracted and an implant placed immediately. After the area has healed nicely, a crown was made supported by the implant. The tooth on the right has more superficial fractures and was able to be salvaged with a full-coverage crown.
This patient had a 6 unit anterior bridge for 20 years that replaces 4 missing front teeth. Over the years, the porcelain chipped off here and there. Repairs were done each time to replace the chips and patient was finally tired of getting repairs constantly. A new porcelain-fused-to-metal bridge was done and patient is much happier with the better aesthetics!
This patient had three lower front teeth with extensive cavities that could not be saved. The teeth were extracted and implants were placed on the same day. The final restoration with crowns achieved great functional and aesthetic results.
Aggressive brushing and scrubbing motion over the years caused severe wearing of two teeth near the gumline. This is called abrasion and can result in weakening of the tooth structure and sensitivity. The lost tooth structure can be restored with resin bonding, usually without needing anesthetic. The final result can be very esthetic and helps protect the tooth from further wear and damage.
This patient presented with a broken upper partial denture with remaining teeth that could no longer be saved. The treatment done was a full upper denture. The denture was able to stay in much better than before so she could chew food without worrying if it would easily pop out. She is also much more confident with smiling and showing her teeth.
The patient bit down on a piece of hard food and broke off the majority of an upper front tooth. Root canal therapy was done and a ceramic crown was made.
Some patients may be missing teeth congenitally. This patient had two lateral incisors that never grew in. After getting tired of wearing a removable partial denture for years, he finally got implants placed and restored. People cannot tell those are not his real teeth!
